WeLCOME

We are a Hi-Desert ensemble-driven collective creating site-specific theatre experiences grounded in reciprocity and shared ownership.

Intimate. Story-Forward. Environmentally Alive.

WHO WE ARE

Lette Allen with peaceful protest signs she created for the workshop production of Someone You Know, an original musical she co-authored and served as co-lyricist, exploring consent, accountability, and cultural silence. (Chicago, 2024)

The Karma Compound was founded by Lette Allen in 2026, born from a simple question:

What would theatre look like if artists shared labor, risk, and reward equitably?

After years working within traditional production models, and feeling constrained by the boundaries of what had already been done or expected, Lette envisioned a more innovative structure rooted in transparency, creative autonomy, and shared profit. A home where collaborative artists not only build the work together but also benefit together.

The desert became the container.
Spacious. Raw. Unfiltered.
An active force in the storytelling.

The Karma Compound exists to create bold, emotionally charged, immersive theatre built on collective ownership and cultural relevance.

The Karma Compound’s inaugural production of Sam Shepard’s FOOL FOR LOVE will premiere in Wonder Valley in August 2026 β€” marking the first expression of this model in action.
